چکیده

We consider the problem of the optimal location of a Dirichlet region in a d-dimensional domain Ω subjected to a given force f in order to minimize a given functional. We look for the optimal region among the class of all closed connected sets of assigned total length l. Then we let l tends to infinity and we look at the Γ-limit of a suitable rescaled functional, in order to get information of the asymptotic distribution of the optimal region. keywords: Optimal network location, Shape optimization, Γ-convergence

New Global Asymptotic Stability Condition for Delayed Neural Networks with a Constant Delay

This paper investigates the global asymptotical stability problems for delayed neural networks. By introducing some triple integral terms in the constructing of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, combined with the inequality analysis, a new asymptotical stability condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities are proposed, Finally, numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness ...

Asymptotics of an Optimal Compliance-location Problem

We consider the problem of placing a Dirichlet region made by n small balls of given radius in a given domain subject to a force f in order to minimize the compliance of the configuration. Then we let n tend to infinity and look for the Γ−limit of suitably scaled functionals, in order to get informations on the asymptotical distribution of the centres of the balls. This problem is both linked t...

Inverse Identification of Circular Cavity in a 2D Object via Boundary Temperature Measurements Using Artificial Neural Network

In geometric inverse problems, it is assumed that some parts of domain boundaries are not accessible and geometric shape and dimensions of these parts cannot be measured directly. The aim of inverse geometry problems is to approximate the unknown boundary shape by conducting some experimental measurements on accessible surfaces. In the present paper, the artificial neural network is used to sol...

Time-Discontinuous Finite Element Analysis of Two-Dimensional Elastodynamic Problems using Complex Fourier Shape Functions

This paper reformulates a time-discontinuous finite element method (TD-FEM) based on a new class of shape functions, called complex Fourier hereafter, for solving two-dimensional elastodynamic problems. These shape functions, which are derived from their corresponding radial basis functions, have some advantages such as the satisfaction of exponential and trigonometric function fields in comple...

Solving Scheduling Problems by

We deene a general methodology to deal with a large family of scheduling problems. We consider the case when some of the constraints are expressed through the minimization of a loss function. We study with more details a benchmark example consisting in some jigsaw puzzle problem with additional constraints. This is the occasion to discuss some algorithmic issues typical of scheduling problems, ...
